If you shift your mindset, you'll find that your brand helps you cut through your own decision fatigue.

Do remember how I was telling you that your brand helps you cut through decision fatigue with your ideal client so they can find you?

Did you know having a brand identity system helps you cut through your own decision fatigue?

Ok, here's the best news about investing in a brand identity system—
investing in quality branding with a brand designer gives you a brand identity system that cuts through your own decision fatigue, saving you time and stress and increasing your brand consistency and therefore your brand recognition with your clients!

That's amazing!

Think of it this way— when you know that you're only ever using 1-2 fonts, a specific set of colors already curated to work together,  a small set of images that highlight your business and speak to your ideal client, with a supporting set of patterns or icons to match… you don't have to agonize over creating content. You're not reinventing the wheel each time and ideally you even have a template created so it's just a matter of using your assets as a system, dropping them into the template and hitting send/download/post.

But, I feel so confined.

I hear you friend, many of my clients value freedom and this can feel like being stuffed into a box. I'd like to offer 2 things:

  1. When done well— your brand identity is working as a system. I firmly believe that brand education is the key to success here.
You need to be taught how to use and see your brand as a system once you've invested in a brand design. Once you know and feel empowered using your brand, I really think you'll see the freedom and flexibility of your brand within that system. If you're not reinventing the wheel every time, you have energy and time to pour into other areas of your business.

  2. If you can change your perspective to think of your brand as a system instead of a box, you'll see the value in templates and repeatable processes (think content pillars, or workflows) because they get you consistent on-brand results while still being specifically tailored to your business and ideal client. When you are able to be consistent, you start to gain accurate information about how your brand is working for you to attract clients, to build brand trust, and to generate meaningful action like sales calls or course sales.

PS. If you're looking for more information on decision fatigue. I read this book, WILLPOWER,  years ago when it first came out and it still influences my framework around discipline, self control, and decision fatigue to this day.
